The Relationships of Facebook
I had many requests last week to give you a bit more information on Facebook . Here you go….
Those that have listened to me spout about Facebook through our association teaching calls have heard me refer to Facebook as the front porch. ( visit www.arcsi.org and click on store…then click on Hot Topic downloads, type in my name and you’ll find 5 or so calls on marketing and/or Facebook for our industry) I have heard other social media experts refer to it as the house or your living room. I have a different view point. My living room is my website. I am drawing my friends and fans in through my front porch. I ultimately want to lead them to my living room (aka website). They get there through my front porch (aka Facebook). Is that a clear analogy for you? If not – I’d love to hear your comments and I’ll try to expand on that. Communication aka posts and comments on my page are like the telephone. Do you answer your phone? We all know as business owners, how very important answering the phone is right? We also know how important WHO is answering that phone IS. If someone calls for your service and has no response…. What’s your likelihood of booking service? I don’t need to answer that question for you … we have deeper things to talk about if I do, right?
Are You Fighting Social Media? Still?
Are you still fighting the social media bandwagon? Not very entrepreneurial of you… get on board my friend or be left behind!
Blogging, Face book, Twitter, YouTube, Pinterest, Google ads, Face book ads, Yelp, Angie’s list, internet forums, micro blogging, podcasts, wikis, email, instant messaging, video , websites … what a list eh?
It’s a lot to take in if you are not already integrated into the social world! I coach face book… how crazy is that? The site I began playing with so I could keep track of my kids is now paying bills! I love it, it’s fun and it changes daily. I am also having a lot of fun running different pages for other businesses besides my own. It keeps things exciting! Just when I have the hang of it face book changes the rules again! I love a challenge!

Faith is Amazing
Blog: A shared on-line journal where people can post diary entries about their personal experiences or hobbies.
You may have learned that this isn't your "normal" business and I really don't care about PC. Part of this nation's problem is too much PC --- so phony.. this PC. Ironic, eh? So here is another out of the ordinary business "blog"...Absolutely Clean is having a tough week. I've said good bye to clients that expect two of my staff to spend 4-5 hours deep cleaning a house that hasn't been touched in a month for the same price as a maintenance clean ... our snow birds are flying away ( we tried to tell them there was no snow here so why not just stay this year???) We lose clients to over spending at Christmas time (they will be back later.. ) Crystal's sister's boyfriend passed away ... Jean's daughter has cancer and Julie's husband had a heart attack tonight. The list goes on ...
Boy are we praying.
A Grateful List

What a crazy month it has been!
Not a long blog today... Just a grateful list!
I am grateful for...
Coffee
Pain pills
Modern medicine
My family
Absolutely Clean clients which allow me to employ and be grateful for....

Absolutely Clean has given away well over $100,000 dollars in free cleans over the years and we decided to take it to the next level this year when we had to turn children and their families away because we ran out of funds to pay the payroll for these cleans. I, Stephanie, the owner of Absolutely Clean, have not taken a paycheck for many years to fund this cause. It’s ok .. it’s my passion and I have the best husband in the world who supports me 100%! I am tired of saying “I’m sorry” so with the birth of Time in a Bottle Inc and the help of many, we will be saying “yes, we can help” … soon!
Were You There?
Were you there? Were you a part of changing the world on June 23 2011?
Do you know that my staff was not paid to be there? Volunteered after cleaning homes all day....yes, we are MORE THAN MAIDS!
Do you know the winner of our year of free cleaning, Jenna Netz, brings in stuff for our charities EVERY time I send out a request? Do you know she had over 2300 entries of the almost 19,000.... She is sharing our message and I could not be more pleased to give her this gift.
I'm a Little Stressed
This week I was stumped on what to blog about. I have so much on my plate. If you know me, you know that is really not a new thing for me -- it's just that this full plate matters so much to me. So, I decided to just go stream of conscience.
I'm a little stressed
I had a marg or two... last night. Perhaps another one last weekend... hmmm that's not really new so I guess that is NOT how I handle stress! I did do a lot of conversing with my husband, which is usually how I handle my stress. Oh, and I got a little defensive too. You see, I am worried that NO ONE IS GOING TO SHOW UP TO OUR PARTY! He was telling me how silly that is... and I of course was telling him the opposite and listing all these silly reasons.
Here is a bit how our conversation goes:
More than Maids
My goal every week is to make you "think"... thus the "Thursday Thought". Your feedback would be much appreciated... each and every week. It makes ME "think"! This week my head is full. I have just come back from Exectutive Leadership Convention with my association and it was all about employees and social media. I have been focusing on the employee aspect this week. It takes a leader such as myself to get and keep amazing individuals but I know what they mean to my success. Their success .. depends on me and my leadership staff. I hope to turn them all into leaders... or they would not be with us in the first place. Many think there is no growth for staff in this industry.
