I can't believe I forgot about this one until today.... I guess I needed the gloomy foggy weather to start thinking about yummy and easy beef stew, this one is great because you don't have to brown the beef ahead of time (which I feel defeats the purpose of the crockpot!)

SLOW COOKER BEEF STEW INGREDIENTS:
2 pounds beef stew meat, cut into 1 inch cubes
1/4 cup all-purpose flour
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon ground black pepper
1 clove garlic, minced
1 bay leaf
1 teaspoon paprika
1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
1 onion, chopped
1 1/2 cups beef broth
3 potatoes, diced
4 carrots, sliced
1 stalk celery, chopped

Directions:
1. Place meat in slow cooker. In a small bowl mix together the flour, salt, and pepper; pour over meat, and stir to coat meat with flour mixture. Stir in the garlic, bay leaf, paprika, Worcestershire sauce, onion, beef broth, potatoes, carrots, and celery.
2. Cover, and cook on Low setting for 10 to 12 hours, or on High setting for 4 to 6 hours.

Small hrWhat is: Time in a Bottle?

Time in a Bottle, INC was born in April and unveiled on June 23, 2011.

The mission of Time in a Bottle INC is to provide precious “time” to parents that are dealing with the hope and care of their children becoming survivors of not only cancer, but any other life threatening illness that requires multiple hours away from home and family.

Cleaning is for the parents but we wanted to touch the lives of children that have had “normal” turned upside down with something special besides extra time with mom and or dad, so when Katie Koopman’s dolls popped up I asked her to please join me in branding Time in a Bottle. She so very generously said “yes!”. I am looking now to get fabric donated so she can make us more dolls for our cause! We have children that need us and dolls to be made! She is donating $5 per doll that is custom made for other people to Time in a Bottle. She is also working on a pattern that we can send out to all maid services that join our cause so they too can find a special seamstress and have another avenue to raise funds for such a worthy cause! Each and every child we offer our service to will receive a doll! The first dolls made for Time in a Bottle were Piper and Milo.

Check Out Our Website to see how you can help the cause. We have started online auctions to help fund Time In a Bottle, keep an eye out for new available for bidding!
